“Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.” – Hippocrates
Eating nutrient dense, chemical-free foods is paramount to maintaining or regaining health. We really are what we eat. We are making new a body all the time. So choosing to be healthy means choosing non-toxic healthy foods to make a new healthy body. At Cornerstone Progressive Health, we have experience with many eating programs and diets. Choosing an eating program for you is depends on the condition you are desiring to resolve.
One of the eating programs we commonly recommend is from Dr. Melvin Page. He came up with his fundamental eating program by doing repeated blood work with patients after eating. He found the foods that balance blood chemistry, specifically the calcium/phosphorus ratio which determines whether your body is regenerating or degenerating. See our information on The Page Diet.
Additionally, there are certain types of foods that must be avoided to maintain or regain health, particularly GE (Genetically Engineered) or “GMO” (Genetically Modified Organisms) foods. Click here to visit our page about GMOs and also visit the AAEM (American Academy of Environmental Medicine) position paper about GMOs, which we completely agree with.
To heal the intestinal tract rapidly, we often utilize the GAPS diet as well as various types of cleanses for the colon, liver, and gallbladder. Learn more about the GAPs diet here.
Given that the soil in which food is grown has become more and more depleted with each decade of chemical farming the need for whole food supplementation of nutrients can be extremely important to stop degeneration and promote regeneration. See our supplement lines here. We as humans are not “Roundup Ready.”

My husband & I were elated when we found out we were pregnant with our 1st baby 3 ½ years ago. The excitement soon turned to despair when we suffered a 2nd trimester miscarriage. We became pregnant again very soon, only to suffer a 2nd miscarriage. We went through tests, but found no reason. This time conceiving was not so easy. We went through several months without results, then almost a year of fertility treatments. The treatments were grueling & just as we were about to give up, we became pregnant for a 3rd time. This pregnancy again ended in miscarriage. At this point we officially ended conventional fertility treatments & stepped outside of “the box” and into Cornerstone Progressive Health. As a physically fit young woman in my late twenties, I never considered myself “unhealthy”. CPH helped me to detox my body and replace nutrients that were lacking. I learned about the importance of eating organically grown food and about how nutritionally deficient many of our American foods are. My husband & I vowed to change our grocery shopping, cooking and eating habits as well as to stick to the plan that they advised. It seemed so easy (too easy) compared to the outrageously expensive, time consuming and emotionally taxing fertility treatments. Within four months of doing it the Cornerstone Progressive Health way, I found out I was pregnant again! This time, with their guidance, we had a complete and uncomplicated pregnancy. Four weeks ago, I gave birth to a beautiful, perfect, baby boy. We are so thankful to God and to Cornerstone Progressive Health for this baby and for all that we have learned on our journey.
